## What does a JennAir repair cost in Miami?

A starting figure for every job we do, the researched market range it was set against, and what moves it up or down. Nothing here is a quote — the exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic and written down before anything is opened.

17 — jobs with a starting figure

from $95 — diagnostic, credited to the repair

9 — appliance types covered

OEM — parts available on order

## Every repair, and what it starts at

Each page carries the figure, the market range behind it, and the four or five things that decide where in that range your job lands.

No cost pages published yet. Call [(305) 745-7213](tel:+13057457213) with the model number and what the appliance is doing, and we will give you the range before anybody comes out.

## The part is usually ordinary. The access is what you are paying for.

Almost nothing in this line stands on the floor. A wall oven comes forward out of a tall housing before the sensor behind it exists. A refrigeration column is trimmed into your millwork and carries a door your cabinetmaker built. Dishwashers, wine cellars and ice machines live under counters and are held in by the run around them.

The part is frequently the same part it would be on a mass-market machine, and the figure is not — and **that is the reason, rather than the badge.** No row on this site is set higher because the appliance was expensive. What the class of machine does change is the advice: on a cabinet built to be repaired, a repair that would be marginal elsewhere is often clearly the right call.

## Four things, in the order they matter here

On most makes the part comes first. On this one it does not, and the pages say so rather than leaving you to work it out from the invoice.

Access

- Built in or freestanding, and whether the door is your own cabinetry
- A wall oven out of a tall housing against a range pulled forward
- An undercounter cabinet in a run built around it after the fact

The part

- A sensor and a control board are two orders of magnitude apart
- Measured before it is ordered — never assumed from a code
- One induction board per zone, so a failed zone is not a failed cooktop

Whether it is still made

- Current line: most things arrive quickly
- Legacy cartridge cooktops and downdrafts: electrical and mechanical parts commonly, cosmetic often not
- Availability confirmed before an order rather than after

Whether it is worth doing

- Said on the visit rather than after it
- On a built-in column, replacing is a cabinetry job as well as a purchase
- Which is why the answer here is more often yes than on a mass-market machine

## The warranty on this make is longer than most, and two pages here say so before their figure.

The current major-appliance warranty runs **two years from delivery, parts and labor** — not the one year that is usual on this kind of equipment. Refrigeration carries **ten years on the sealed system** in three steps: two years parts and labor, years three to five on the cavity liner and sealed system with labor still included, and years six to ten on the sealed system with parts only.

If your appliance is inside any of those, the manufacturer’s own service line is **[(305) 745-7213](tel:+13057457213)**. We are an independent company, we are not that channel, and taking a call somebody did not need to make is not a business we want. It is the first thing we check on a refrigeration visit.

## Or start from the machine

If you would rather begin with the appliance than with the figure, each of the nine has a page covering what it reports, what tends to go wrong and what the repair usually involves.

## Give us the model and the behavior and we will narrow it on the phone.

We will not name a final figure before seeing the appliance, and anyone who does is either padding for the worst case or quoting something they cannot honor once the panel comes off. What we will do is narrow it properly: with the model number, a line about what the appliance is doing, and how it is fitted, you get the likely causes and the range they sit in before anybody drives anywhere.

And if the answer is that your machine is still inside the manufacturer’s own warranty, you get told that instead of a quote. **Call [(305) 745-7213](tel:+13057457213)**, or use the form above.

## What people ask about price

Why is every price a "from"? — Because the same symptom has several ordinary causes that sit hundreds of dollars apart, and only the appliance settles which one is yours. A refrigerator that is warm on the fresh-food side is a damper, a fan, a defrost circuit or a sensor long before it is a sealed system. A single number in front of that would either be padded to cover the worst case or too low to honor. The starting figure plus the market range is the honest version.

Where do these ranges actually come from? — They are researched market ranges for South Florida — cost-aggregator bands for the same parts and the same labor, narrowed by what the part actually is on this equipment and by what the installation does to the time. They are not this company's own invoice history, and the pages say so. Every figure and the evidence behind it is written down in one file rather than decided page by page.

Is this make more expensive to repair than others? — The parts, mostly not. The appointments, often yes — and for a reason you can see: almost every appliance here is built in, paneled, or both, and getting to the part is a real part of the job. What we do not do is set a figure higher because the appliance was expensive, and you are entitled to hold us to that.

Does the diagnostic come off the bill? — Yes, when you go ahead with the work. It starts at $95 and it is credited, so on a job we carry out it is not a separate line. If you decide not to proceed you pay the diagnostic and nothing else, and you still leave knowing what is wrong.

When will you tell me not to repair it? — Whenever it is true, and on the visit rather than afterwards. On this make that conversation goes both ways more often than on any other site we run: a built-in column trimmed into your kitchen is worth repairing at a figure that would end the conversation on a freestanding machine, because replacing it is a cabinetry job as well as an appliance purchase. We show you the arithmetic rather than asserting the conclusion.

## How a JennAir repair is priced, and what we will not do

### Every figure is a starting point

Each page here carries a “from” and the researched market range it was set against. Neither is a quote for your appliance. The exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic and written down before anything is opened — and where the honest answer is that the repair is not worth doing, that is the answer you get instead of a figure.

### The cheapest outcomes, which are real

A tub filter. A downdraft grease filter. A toe-kick grille that a kick panel covered. A burner cap seated wrong after a cleaning. An induction cooktop in an island with nowhere for air to come from. A control that needed a full minute at the breaker. Every one of those ends at the visit fee, and on a site that makes its living from repairs, publishing them is a deliberate cost that we think is the right one.

### The most expensive one, and when it is worth it

A sealed system starts at $695 and is quoted last, after the condenser, the fans, the defrost circuit, the dampers and the door seals have been measured and excluded on record. On a mass-market refrigerator that figure usually ends the conversation. On a built-in column finished with your own panels it frequently does not, because replacing the appliance means matching an opening, a panel and a hinge pattern. That is arithmetic rather than salesmanship and we will show you the working.

### What we will not do

We will not publish a final price before seeing the appliance. We will not order a control board on the strength of a code without measuring what the code is about. We will not tell you a Florida storm killed your electronics, because no manufacturer or regulator source says so and everyone who does is selling surge protection. We will not price a magnetron before a diagnostic. And we will not take a booking for an appliance that is still inside the maker’s own warranty without telling you first.

### Independent, and what that means

We are an independent repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by any manufacturer, and we do not carry out repairs on any manufacturer’s behalf. We carry our own warranty on the work we performed and the parts we fitted, and OEM parts are available on order. Brand names and model numbers on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Every figure is a researched market range for South Florida rather than a quote for your JennAir.

## Tell us the model and what it is doing.

You will have the scope and the price in writing before anything is opened, and the diagnostic comes off the bill.
