Read the opening before the appliance
Width, depth, height, the electrical and the plumbing, and — for induction and for every undercounter appliance — the ventilation the instructions actually ask for. An opening cut for a different machine is found now rather than in six months.

Set it level and secure it
A cabinet that is not level does not close square, and a heavy paneled door magnifies every fraction of that. Levelling is the least visible part of this job and the one that decides whether the door seals.

Your cabinetmaker's door on the appliance's hinges, carrying its own weight, set square and set to close on its own. This is the part that separates a built-in kitchen that works from one that looks right and does not.

Why this costs more on this make
Almost nothing in this line stands on the floor. Ranges are trimmed to cabinetry, wall ovens go into tall openings, refrigeration is columns and built-in cabinets behind panels made by your cabinetmaker, and the dishwashers, cellars and ice machines live under counters and breathe through a grille. Hanging a door on an appliance and aligning it to a run of cabinets is a different job from sliding a machine into a gap, and pretending otherwise is how a kitchen ends up with a door that has to be pushed shut.

Can you hang my cabinet panels?
Yes, and on this make it is most of the job. Panel-ready appliances are the majority of this line, and the difference between a door that closes on its own and one that has to be pushed is alignment rather than hardware.
Do you take the old appliance away?
That is arranged separately and it is worth saying at the booking, because getting an old built-in cabinet out of millwork is real time and occasionally needs two people. It is not a surprise we like to have on the day.
Does installing it yourselves affect the warranty?
