The order is not arbitrary. A cabinet that has stopped holding temperature is, in rough order of likelihood, a defrost circuit that has let ice build on the evaporator, an evaporator fan that has stopped moving air, a thermistor reporting the wrong number, a damper that is not opening, a condenser choked with dust, and a door that is not sealing. The sealed system is at the end of that list and it is reached by ruling out the rest on record.
